On the 26th, an ostrich ran on the road for a while in Jungwon-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, Korea.

Police and fire authorities, who were dispatched after receiving reports from citizens, searched the nearby road and found the ostrich on the site of a factory building in Sangdaewon-dong at 10:25 a.m., about an hour later, and captured it safely.

No injuries or property damage occurred due to the ostrich disturbance.

The ostrich, named "Tadoli," was found to have escaped from a nearby ecological experience center earlier in the day after squeezing through a gap in an iron fence and taking to the streets.

Earlier in the day, on Dunchon-daero, an eight-lane round-trip road, Tadol was seen crossing lanes while driving along the road with cars.

Dizzy images were also captured, such as running side by side with a driving bus or going over to the opposite lane and bumping into an oncoming truck.

Fortunately, the ostrich was captured without any trauma by dispatched firefighters and safely returned to the ecological experience center where it currently lives.

Tadoli was found to have been sold to the ecological experience center in July 2020 when she was less than a year old.

At that time, he was sold with a female ostrich of his age, "Tasun," and lived in the same cage, but he has been alone for about a month since his recent death.

A fire official said, "We captured the ostrich with the police after receiving a report of the ostrich appearance," adding, "It is fortunate that not only citizens but also ostriches were not injured in today's disturbance."
