Seoul is covered with about 1,000 gardens in every corner.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government said it will create more than 1,000 so-called "attractive gardens" and "companied gardens" to help citizens easily access the gardens.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government plans to create a total of 1,007 places by 2026, including 897 charm gardens and 110 companion gardens.
'Attractive Garden' is a garden created in major parks in Seoul where daily life is encountered, the city center on the way to work, and a good place to go out on holidays. 'Companied gardens' is a garden created by customized programs that can be enjoyed by infants, seniors, and the disabled. It will produce village gardeners where local residents can participate independently and support activities such as garden management talent donation and garden commentators.
The city then plans to hold a Seoul International Garden Fair at Ttukseom Hangang Park for five months from May to showcase its world-class gardens, the city explained.
