Six out of ten Koreans believe that providing 100 million won per child as financial support from the government would motivate people to have more children, according to a survey conducted by the Anti-Corruption & Civil Rights Commission.
The commission announced the results of the survey conducted through the online policy communication platform from March 17th to 26th. A total of 13,640 people participated in the survey.
When asked whether they thought providing a radical cash incentive of 100 million won per child to mothers or newborns, similar to what is done in corporations, would motivate people to actively have children, 62.6% of respondents answered 'it would provide motivation'.
