The U.S. news channel CNN has selected Korea's "Kimchi Dumplings" as one of the world's best dumpling menus. CNN highlighted the world's unique dumpling menus in an article on travel on Friday. The article featured dumplings from dozens of countries, including Korean kimchi dumplings.

CNN reported on the kimchi dumpling that the dumpling resembles "Manti" in Central Asia more than dumplings in China and Japan. "Manti" is a dish developed in Caucasus and Central Asia, and is steamed with meat or vegetable filling inside thin flour blood. The difference from Korean dumplings is that they are sprinkled with yogurt as a sauce.

CNN reported, "Dumplings are often folded into round shapes. This is a rare form in Chinese dumplings," adding, "Koreans in particular add 'Kimchi' to their dumplings." "Kimchi is a food that can be found everywhere in Korea," he said. "It must have been inevitable that Koreans invented kimchi dumplings."

Meanwhile, Korean-style dumplings are in the spotlight in the U.S. food market. Notably, CJ Cheil Jedang's Bibigo dumpling brand has become a hot item in major retail chains such as Costco.
